There will be a funeral mass Nov 18,2023 at 11am at Our Lady of Lourdes for her for all who would like to attend. We do appreciate everyone who has helped my sister it wasn’t expected but it definitely helped more than you know, this will continue to help.

Update
For all of you know, you know, my sister is going through this journey of lung cancer. It’s taking a turn to where it is now in the bone her liver and she’s been in the hospital since Monday evening. Unfortunately, it’s not looking too good for her right now you can all keep your prayers coming. It would be greatly appreciated, she thought this journey and she continues to fight. She’s not a quitter and she does not want to give up. Thank you all for your prayers and phone calls and texts. I ask for the ones that have her phone number or email. Please feel free to send a message letting her know how she touched your life and how great of a job she’s doing fighting for hers!
***UPDATE***
10-13 Update
Unfortunately we did not get a good prognosis. She just spent 11 days in the hosp, The lung cancer is fine, lungs are clear, but it did metastasize to stage four bone cancer. The only treatment for that is chemotherapy due to the fact that there is no cure for bone cancer and all they can do is try to slow it down, did the pelvic RX, we can’t do the shoulder or the spine, due to the fact that she already had lung radiation, and it would overlap and make it worse ,breathing is bad, she literally cant walk down the hallway is on oxygen 24/7. We’re not really sure what else we can say, but this is where she is right now. the only way it will slow down depends on how her body reacts to the chemotherapy , this round was tough, she’s tired of being tired , tired-of not being able to eat. Please keep sending prayers so she can beat this
Update 3 weeks ago
So my sister had a bit of a setback she was in the hospital last week having problems, breathing and after several tests the results are that the cancer did spread and metastasized to the bone. Specifically her femur, her back and her spine so she will be starting chemo on the 24th and radiation and then they’ll revisit with a pet scan after 3 rounds of chemo and then do immunotherapy. So please continue your prayers they’re much needed and very welcomed.
On June 21, 2022 Kathy Wilkens-Moro my sister was diagnosed with Stage 3 in operable non-small cell lung cancer. For you who know my sister she’s always the one that’s there to help everybody and would never ask for anything and regardless of what position she was in. Kathy had six rounds of chemo and then 47 rounds of radiation 37 on her chest and 10 on her brain. Well, she thought she was going to be able to go back to work once her treatments were over unfortunately, she ended up with neuropathy and she is not able to type and it’s very difficult for her to walk. Her fingers are numb some days and her feet don’t want to cooperate with her so it’s very hard for at this point. She was advised if it did not clear up within nine months that it will most likely be permanent damage due to the chemo and radiation. She did apply for disability. They did send her some money for 2022 which was helping her get through and then all of a sudden she had to return everything that they sent her because they said that it was an oversight and she wasn’t eligible. It’s been chaotic ever since trying to get this all resolved. She does have scans and tests coming up within the next couple months again. All the funds raised would go directly for helping my sister with any medical bills that were not covered and for her daily living expenses as to she has very minimal money coming in. While this is already stressful for her, seeing her stress and struggle for daily living is just as hard as watching her go through treatments again. All of her medical insurance has to now be paid out-of-pocket since she’s not working and without having that insurance, she would absolutely not be able to continue treatment and any future treatments.
For anyone that would want to send directly to her I could always provide you with her information.
We thank you with all of her hearts for any donations and prayers, and if you’re not able to contribute, please continue the prayers because they are just as important and welcomed.
