Rhonda’s Medical and Travel fund
On August 31, 2018 Rhonda and Jimmy (Nonnie and Grandad) were traveling to St. Francis, KS to go on a Poker Run with her family. At about 9pm a deer ran out in front of Rhonda and she wrecked her motorcycle. As you can imagine, she was hurt pretty bad. She’s had 2 ambulance rides, a helicopter ride, and is currently in the trauma surgical ICU at St. Antony’s in Lakewook, Co. Jimmy is going to be staying with her until she is able to go home.
She had a small brain bleed that’s resolving, liver and spleen lacerations, broken shoulder, a broken hand, 10 broken ribs each side in multiple places, severe road rash that may need grafts, and a partially amputated thumb. That list may continue to grow.
She is currently sedated and getting rest as of Sept 1 at 8pm and will remain this way until tomorrow.
Our family is not one to ever ask for help, but the helicopter alone starts at 10k. We ask for prayers first and foremost, but if you find it in your heart to donate to help with already building medical bills and travel expenses, as well as, the bills that don’t stop at home we would be so very grateful.
God is in control and we have faith that she will pull through this, but she’s got a long road ahead.
God bless.
