Rhonda Compton - Funeral Expenses

This is Joe and Rhonda Compton's son, Joey Compton. My mom passed away on August 13, 2023 due to cardiac arrest.

At my brother's suggestion, I have created a GoFundMe when I learned my dad is struggling to get a loan to pay for the funeral and burial expenses. The financial burden on my dad is great, and neither my brother nor I are in a position to provide much financial help. Even if my dad can get a sufficient loans, I worry he will struggle to make ends meet. Many have asked if there is anything you can do to help. With much consideration, we have realized that supporting my dad financially as well as with prayers would be the most helpful right now.

My mother was such a compassionate woman, and she made countless sacrifices to live a life of love and service to others. She loved her family deeply and strived to encourage others and bring a smile to their faces, even when she herself was in pain. I know she would not have wanted my dad to have these additional financial burdens weigh heavy on him.

Any funds will be used to pay for the following:

1) costs associated with my mom's burial, including but not necessarily limited to the casket, vault, opening & closing of the grave, the burial services preparer, the service, and a financial gift to the minister;

2) the principals on any loans which were received for the payment of the aforementioned costs;

3) money for my dad to cover miscellaneous expenditures accrued as a result of the burial / service arrangements; and

4) some extra money for my dad to help with any unforeseen expenses, as well as to make things a bit easier for him as he grieves.

Please seriously consider if you might be able to give to this cause and lessen my dad's burden. Every little bit helps.
