Rhonda & John's 60th Birthday Trip to the Vatican

Hello Family and Friends,
The Schock Kids are reaching out because we need your help! As some of you may know, our parents John and Rhonda are turning the big 6-0 this fall, and we want to throw them a surprise they will remember for years.
With two of the three Schock kids living outside of Texas, we knew throwing a surprise party would be logistically hard to pull off. Thus, we came up with an alternative idea. Throughout their lives, our parents have exemplified what it means to be of service to others. Whether it was our father volunteering to coach countless sports teams, cleaning the streets of Southlake, or our mother delivering sandwiches to the homeless or organizing fundraisers, they have both individually and together always put the needs of others before their own. As active members of their community and Good Shepard Catholic church, we wanted to give them a collective gift that shows them how much we appreciate their dedication to others.
Recently our parents took a trip with their church choir to sing at St. Patrick's cathedral and Carnage Hall in New York City; a trip that they both described as “bucket-list worthy”. And now their choir has the opportunity to visit the Vatican in Rome and sing at St. Peter's Basilica! Both being devote Catholics, and Rhonda having never been to Europe, we know that this trip would be for them a trip of a lifetime.
Our goal of $7,000 would completely cover the cost of their trip but any amount would be more than appreciated. Again this is a surprise, so please use your best discretion to not let them know or see this fundraiser!
Lastly we want to thank you all for your help, and for your love and support of our parents throughout our family’s lives. We know you are only as strong as the community that surrounds you and we consider ourselves to be so fortunate to have parents that have raised us around so much love.
