Rhode's Family Medical Expenses

Hi, my name is Kasey and I am creating this fundraiser for my best friend, Tiffanie and her beautiful family. We had worked together for 8+ years and best friends for much longer.

The Rhodes family has had a series of unfortunate events which in turn has left them in a position of desperation. This past summer Tiffanie's husband, Bobby was in a agonizing accident that left him unable to work for three months, leaving her to independently keep the family afloat during her second-third trimester with their precious baby boy. During her pregnancy she received a concerning pap smear. By this time, Bobby is back at work however, Tiffanie gave birth to Drew, now she isn't bringing home income on maternity leave, while their planned savings for this time was drained by Bobby's medical expenses and loss of work. Tiffanie has had 3 biopsies and it is indeed cancer. Fortunately, they may have caught it in time before it spreads. Her first scheduled surgery will determine whether she will require radiation or not. This surgery will require her to recover a week minimum before returning to work. The second surgery, assuming radiation isn't required, will be much more invasive and leave her out of work for 4-6 weeks if surgery and recovery go well. Tiffanie does have health insurance for those who may be wondering, but the out of pocket requirement is $6000.00 right off the bat.

Any money raised will go directly to the Rhodes family. It'll go towards medical & everyday bills as needed.

Tiffanie has spent most, if not all of her adult life taking care of friends, family, and even strangers. Times are tough, I know. The smallest of donations do add up and are greatly appreciated. This part of the story is just me rambling about how amazing these people are and how important they are to my life (feel free to skip). I met Tiff in my early 20s and I have never grown closer to another human being as quickly as I did to her. Her morals, dedication, and loyalty is unwavering. Before Bobby came into her life she was a single mom with two amazing kids! Let me tell you, this was no walk in the park, especially since their father is $68k+ behind on child support. She never complains and only wants best for her kids, which has expanded to include her step daughter and new born who is only a few months old.

I was diagnosed with Crohn's in 2015 and Tiffanie was with me every step of the way. Between trips to Houston to see specialists and hospital admissions I could always count on her to bring me whatever I needed, even during times when she herself was struggling. She is the type of woman who when she loves you, she LOVES you and will do anything in her power to take care of simply bring a smile to your face. And don't get me started on those kids. Two thirds of the year I hardly get to see her because she's busting her butt to get her oldest son and daughters to and from school functions. I know it's worth it, to see those precious smiles.
