You just never know what life has in store for you. You never think that you will have to know the struggles of an illness or a possible life-threatening situation; until it happens and your life goals begin to take on a new meaning and a new direction. That day when you are told you have a large invasive parotid tumor and it must me removed now… The day when you have to tell your boss, that you must take time off because your Doctors appointments, pain, and stress will hinder your ability to perform your job duties. When you have to tell your family, your friends, and even yourself that this is serious, even when you look as if nothing is wrong with you. Then to make maters even worst you have to ask for money. When you have NEVER asked for any monetary support from anyone since the age of 15. This is my reality I have a parotid tumor. I will be traveling to California to The Osborne Head and Neck Institute for removal of the tumor. I have Health Insurance however; my out of pocket expenses including co-payments, lost wages, travel expences will be in excess of $15,000. I implore my family, friends and even my community please help me to get well. I promise, I will pay it forward just as soon as I can. I appreciate all support especially prayers.
Thank you,

Parotid tumors are abnormal growths within the glands. Most of thesegrowths are benign (non-cancerous), but occasionally they can bemalignant (cancerous). On rare occasion, the growths can be enlarged lymph nodes or even non-parotid tumors which have spread into the parotid glands.
