Let's get this thing on its feet!

My name is Mattie Weeks. I'm a director in the Metro-Atlanta Area, and I am in the process of producing Rhinoceros by Eugene Ionesco at the Windmill Arts Center in July 2025!

While I have many years of experience as a director as well as a co-producer, this is my first time independently producing a full-length play and it is going to be quite the ambitious project!

Where is my money going?

All donations will go towards production costs (i.e., venue rentals, rights, set and costume budgets, as well as to provide all artists involved with a guaranteed minimum stipend.)

Any excess profit after closing will be distributed evenly among all cast members, in an effort to make compensation for this project as fair as possible.

This is not intended to be a production with massive and extravagant design budgets. It is instead intended to put all artists involved as the priority.

What is the show?

Rhinoceros by Eugene Ionesco is an absurdist satire that looks at the rise of fascism through a small town that is suddenly struck with an epidemic of rhinoceritis.

It is not only absurd, as the genre implies; however, it is a truly compelling and nerve-wracking script about what it is like to watch those around you become monsters!
