Quick update: I have now transferred my care to a new hospital and have received four treatments of chemo therapy and gave 12 remaining. I will undergo chemotherapy next and then six full weeks of radiation. I’m managing the symptoms related to the treatments and remain unable to work at this time. As treatments continue the symptoms are expected to progress. Following advice given to me, I am using this time to focus on my health and family. I am on reduced pay disability and expect that to continue into the foreseeable future.
I have no words that can adequately express my gratitude for all of the support I have received thus far. Please continue to keep my family in your prayers.

In May 2021, at the age of 38, I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. The cancer began as a lump in the breast and has now been confirmed to metastasize to the lymph nodes. The most recent pathology shows the cancer growing at a faster rate than it was previously and has potentially moved beyond the lymph nodes. My chemotherapy treatment begins in less than one week and is scheduled for 20 weeks if all goes as planned. After chemotherapy, I will undergo surgery and then radiation.
I was planning to utilize funding from a foundation to cover the costs of the DigniCap during my chemotherapy treatments but recently that fell through. The DigniCap provides scalp cooling to minimize hair loss from chemotherapy. The costs for the DigniCap are estimated in total to approximately $2650. (I was unable to utilize this due to funding).
More importantly, I am a single mother who is solely responsible for raising the two amazing humans that God blessed me with. My medical expenses are adding up and I’m currently on short term disability. Soon the disability will reduce my pay to 60%. We are commanded not worry. If He wants me to do treatments than He will provide the rest of our needs during that time. If you prefer Venmo you can send to @Rhianna-Schuetz. At minimum, I have around a year of treatments ahead of me including chemotherapy, surgery and radiation and any support will help my family through this time is greatly appreciated. I am beyond grateful for all of the support that I have received thus far. Please continue to send prayers to keep my faith strong.
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91
