You know something big is happening in Hong Kong!! The protests have been massive, and they may be the biggest geopolitical event of the year. Will China get its way and stomp out dissent? Might covert U.S. aid allow the protesters to sustain their momentum? Needless to say, there is a lot at stake and lots of speculation!!
And because of that it’s important for there to be independent, on-the-ground reporting about the events in Hong Kong.
When massive Yellow Vests protests were taking place in Paris, We Are Change was there reporting on the ground and risking safety as protesters were losing eyes due to police brutality. In the past we have also been to places likeSomalia, Venezuela and Cheran , once the most violent, dangerous area in Mexico.
As for Hong Kong, it’s very expensive to fly and stay there. This mission will involve spending a week or more investigating, reporting and live-streaming.
So if you value reporting on the events in Hong Kong that is independent and free of spin and manipulation, then your support is crucial! By contributing to this campaign, you will help fund the cost of the flight, safety precautions and live reporting at events like the upcoming Civil Human Rights Front March on August 31 and the student strike that is set to take place on September 2, the first day of secondary school.
