It all started with an Idea of mimiking a Scalatron on an an FPGA.
Years later there is a trove of code, broken boards, broken dreams, achievements, sound-clips and burnt hardware.
The Rhesutron is a polyphonic syntesizer for microtonal music. More than 1920 digital oszilators, each one tunable to plus/minus a cent.
Tons of VHDL Code, HW-Design and CAD-Sketches generated for further use.

What it should be:
- A Polyphonic Microtonal Audio Synthesizer (Guess that's the joke)
- A haptic hardware for using the device in an on-stage setup
- Optional "IO-Modules" to add Input and Output channels
- A "plug-in" slot for filterbanks (Send/Return)
- Up to three independent Midi-1.0 Channels
What's there already:
- Working FPGA and CPU Firmware
- PCB-Design and Production-Data
- Enclousure-Design (Ok: will change as the PCB changes - but we know how to produce)
- And a working Proof-Of-Concept (see Links below)
What is needed and needs to be done:
- A full production run for a first prototype
- Quite some polishing (as usual in development projects)
- A design-In of the FPGA to reduce costs for a future Consumer Product
