Our History

 

Rhema House of Prayer and Deliverance has been serving the Staten island Community for over 19 years. We have met the needs of hundreds of families and individuals since our doors have opened in 1997.

 

 

Our Mission

 

Our mission is to service the spiritual and physical needs of those most in need of restoration and healing from the ravaging effects of their situations. We have provided food for the hungry , support for the homeless, support groups for those who need interventions in crisis situations. We have also extended FREE after school programs, job readiness training, ESL classes and women empowerment groups through our Help center to assist people in finding fulfillment in their life and make the necessary changes to become productive citizens. By providing a welcoming environment of love, faith, fellowship and hope we continue to develop the spiritual needs of all who are welcome at our church.

 

The Problem

 

Drug abuse, gun violence, homelessness and poverty are threatening to destroy our communities on a daily basis . Our inner city youth, families and individuals often find themselves in situations where there are no viable avenues of escape. Many are crying out for help but lack adequate direction in finding the right path to take.

 

The Solution

 

As the needs of our community grow and we serve more and more people, we need to expand. Our building is no longer able to accommodate all our programs and adequately hold the people we love to serve. We desperately need to purchase a larger building to accommodate the growing needs of our community.

 

We have a raised a substantial amount on our own, but we still need additional funds to reach our goal.

Your donation will help change the lives of many at risk inner city youth and their families. As they begin a journey of healing and transformation, their change will impact future generations to come. Together, we can move forward to restore and rebuild our communities.
