Dear Friends and Family,
In April 2015, my brother and I visited a children shelter home in India that was not only life–changing but rewarding. We met kids that have run away from their homes at an early age. We learned that some of these kids were abused by either their parents or a family member. Or, some were given away by their parents because their parents were not able to financially support them.
Growing up in the states, I’m very grateful to be given the safe life that my parents have provided for my brother and me. The simplest things that we take for granted every day (our clean food and water, clothing, education, etc…) are not available to these children, and I want to help!
About 20 million children in India are separated from their parents. 51,000 children are living on the streets, and many are forced into child labor. Over 73,000 children have benefitted from the help of Salaam Baalak over the past 28 years. Salaam Baalak Trust provides safe homes for children, while instilling educational and recreational facilities for them to thrive and take full advantage of their opportunities.
My goal is to raise $10,000 and return to India this June to continue the support of children in need. It has always been in my heart to give back to the children of Salaam Baalak. I am excited to return and continue my journey and make the difference in the lives of others.
During the trip I will provide the following:
1. Fostering new children.
If you could help, your donations would foster 4-6 young girls at the shelter that will also assist with improvement in their living environment.
2. For our Children.
If you love kids and have the means to help, your donation will help us buy school supplies, back packs and musical instruments.
3. Equipment + Maintenance for the Facility.
Your donation will help replace old equipment and improve structural repairs, including plumbing and electrical supplies.
Come along side me as I start my Mission Trip in June 2017. As a community it is essential that we give back to the less fortunate. I greatly appreciate your support to this charitable cause and your donations will impact the futures of the children all across India. Your efforts will not be forgotten.
