Team Andy

“Look not only to your own interests but also to the interests of others.”
“Consider the needs of others above yourselves.”
These are innate principles Andy breathes and lives by. He is a devoted husband to Ashley and an amazing father to young children Charlie (7) and Lola (4). As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, Andy is passionate for his vocation. His patients are greatly encouraged by his gentleness, patience and kindness as he rehabilitates and cheers them on to recovery. It is naturally instinctive and common for Andy to share his resources to his patients and their family. Often times, he has given them his own clothing, shoes, money and “cafeteria card” with much delight and without hesitation.
While on a mission of giving, caring and loving others, Andy, unbeknownst to his patients, has been fighting multiple medical problems himself. Despite numerous specialty medical consultations, majority of his condition remained challenging to manage. As such, he frequently missed work and has had lengthy and costly hospitalizations with surging medical expenses, making it extremely difficult to provide for his family. Most recently, his progressive weight loss, worsening gastrointestinal issues and pulmonary fibrosis which requires long term care, in addition to further loss of income are among the multiple Goliaths that he and his family are facing.
As his work family at HCA Hospital Southeast, we created this fundraising page and calls it “Team Andy”. We are inviting you to come alongside Andy, Ashley, Charlie and Lola through the challenging terrains of this long and arduous journey.
If you would like to help ease this financial burden, donation of any amount through GoFundMe are deeply appreciated. All funds will go directly to Andy’s medical expenses and assist in providing for his family, as well.
On behalf of Andy and Ashley, Team Andy of Acute Care Rehab Department at HCA Houston Southeast Hospital expresses our sincerest gratitude for your kindness, generosity and prayers. We are hopeful, believing and praying for complete healing and full restoration of Andy’s health and strength.
Together, let us take the opportunity for Andy to experience what it feels like “to be treated the way he treated others, looking not only to his own interests but also to the interests of others, always.”
