Rice Silcox Panama Mission Trip

Rice is a freshman attending Milton High School in Milton, Florida. He is on the autism spectrium and has been labled as PDD-NOS. If you know Rice, you know he has his quirks but that he is one that will make you smile. Rice has faced challenges all of his life yet he has developed well past where his pediatrician believed he would progress. We are so proud of him and his decision to obey the gospel by submitting to baptism for the remission of his sins. We allowed this to be Rice's decision and left the rest in God's hands. Rice continues to make us proud and even made a mission trip to PA with a group from our congregation. His father and I were not on the trip with him and we were told he did a great work, even with his little quirks. We are blessed to have a church family that truly took Rice into their hearts as family. This year Rice has made another decision that has made his father and I even more proud. He has made the decision to attempt a foreign mission campaign with us this summer into Central America. We work in Panama every summer, if the Lord wills, and this year Rice is determined to attend. This decision is one that makes our hearts soar however our pocket books are not so thrilled. We will be taking our whole family this year, Rice's sister included, and we can manage the expense for 3 however a 4th is too much. We are asking brethren in the church to consider supporting Rice in this next step in his development. Any amount is helpful and will move us closer to his needed support.
