On sunday august 16th , we lost our house due to an electrical fire starting in the garage. We are a family of 7 with deaf parents. The kids ages are 17 , 14 , 9, 4, and 1. Our family van burned in the garage as well as the baby strollers, fridge, and washers. There was more damage to the kitchen, upstairs bathrooms, and the 4 upstair bedrooms. In the kids bedrooms there was a lot of smoke damage to the clothes and furniture. In the parents bedroom there was damage to the baby crib, baby clothes, parents clothes and the furniture as well. It is a total loss, most of the things with smoke damage had to be thrown away. We are asking donations to buy clothes, food, and hopefully recover some of the furniture items while we try to find a place to stay. We cannot live in the house for about 6 months.
