In Memory of Ray West

Ray West's family is opening up this memorial fund in honor of Ray and his passion for swimming. Ray swam for years with the Buckeye Swim Team alongside his sister and later after graduating high school joined the U.S. Army as a Combat Medic. He met his wife soon there after and the two of them moved to Fort Bliss where he has been stationed since. His plans after the Army were to enlist into the U.S. Coast Guard and eventually take on the occupation as a Rescue Swimmer. All of this recently came to a halt when Ray got into a tragic accident that took his precious life. He was such an amazing individual and all of us have so many amazing memories that we have of him. Ray's family has decided instead of flowers that are so temporary, we would like to take anything that anyone would like to give and donate the funds to the Buckeye Swim Team. Swimming and diving was such an important part of Ray's life that we felt should continue to prosper. Your donations and kind words would be greatly appreciated and will help honor and memorialize our amazing Ray West.
