Matt and I met Alonso back in 2022 when we decided to do our first ATV tour in Costa Rica. Alonso was our tour guide and went above and beyond to show us around the area. We had such an amazing time that we booked another tour with him a few days later, where we sat down and had lunch with him and learned more about his family and life in Costa Rica.

Anyone who came to our wedding in 2024 and did our ATV tour met Alonso, as he went out of his way to organize an incredible tour for over 30 people. Shortly before our wedding, Alonso was diagnosed with a rare stomach cancer. He hadn't been able to work for months but came that day to make sure our wedding was special.

Alonso continues to fight this cancer, and unfortunately had a relapse of it in December 2024. He has been unable to walk since and cannot work. He and his partner has very young kids to take care of. Since he cannot work in this physically demanding job, we are asking everyone to chip in whatever they can to help support his family while he goes through treatments.
