Hello everyone! I would like to introduce you to my beautiful friend Valerie. Almost 8 years ago, shortly after giving birth to her 2nd daughter, Valerie was diagnosed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis). The first doctor that she saw told her that she would be wheel chair bound in 6 months. I am extremely happy to report that he was wrong! However, the past 8 years have not been easy for Valerie. She has had numerous episodes and deals with pain every single day. And yet, if you were to meet her for the first time, you wouldn't know. She pushes through the pain for herself, her daughters, her husband.
Valerie now has the opportunity to participate in a clinical trial of Stem Cell Therapy. Stem cell therapy is an intervention strategy that introduces new adult stem cells into damaged tissue in order to treat disease or injury. Many medical researchers believe that stem cell treatments have the potential to change the face of human disease and alleviate suffering. The ability of stem cells to self-renew and give rise to subsequent generations with variable degrees of differentiation capacities, offers significant potential for generation of tissues that can potentially replace diseases and damaged areas in the body, with minimal risk of rejection and side effects.
Because this is a trial, the cost of the treatment is not covered by insurance. Please consider making a donation to help Valerie cover the cost of the treatment. Any amount you can donate would be greatly appreciated.
