It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we share the devastating loss of our beautiful colleague and friend, Julie.

Julie was a dedicated teacher who came to Wiluna alongside her husband to make a difference in the lives of young people in a remote community. She was kind, selfless, and deeply committed to supporting others—always going above and beyond for those around her.

Tragically, Julie lost her life in a motor vehicle accident last night. In an act that truly reflects who she was, Julie had driven over 10 hours to help a staff member in need—to ensure the safety of a beloved family pet. This was Julie: always putting others first, no matter the distance or the effort.

Her passing has left our entire school community in shock and heartbreak. Julie was more than a teacher—she was a friend, a mentor, and a bright light in our community. Her warmth, generosity, and unwavering care for others will never be forgotten.

We are raising funds to support Julie’s husband and family during this incredibly difficult time. The funds will assist with immediate expenses, travel, and ongoing support as they navigate life without her.
