Magen Reigel & Family

On September 15th Magen, Logan (husband) and 4-year-old big sister welcomed their new baby girl to the family via c-section, what should be a joyous time for the family has turned into their biggest nightmare. The day prior to her discharge, Magen developed eclampsia and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) a very life-threatening disease. She is currently a patient in the very same hospital in which she is employed. Magen was placed on life support September 19th, while the doctors and medical team created a plan to proactively treat Magen’s life threatening condition, they decided life support was the only option. The goal was to have the ventilator physically do the breathing for Magen, allowing her O2 levels to remain high and her body to rest/heal.

It’s never easy seeing a loved one in such a helpless situation, Logan and family members have been emotionally and physically draining themselves trying to remain strong for both 4 yr old big sister and newborn baby but they truly do need to remain in everyone’s thoughts and prayers as they navigate this unknown situation. Logan has not been able to work and may not be able to for some time due to taking care of their two girls and trying to be apart of all that is happening to his wife at the hospital. They are still unsure of Magen’s outcome and what her future physical limitation may be.
