This is the story of William Landon Davis, he goes by Landon! And the day his life changed forever.
On Wednesday, June 25th, Landon got off work at Tyson, took a shower, and headed to his second job as a maintenance technician working all over at hotels, gas stations, etc. He loves this kind of thing! He was headed westbound on I-24 for Illinois. As he approached the bridge in Paducah, KY, he hit a small SUV in the rear, causing him to go under a semi-truck. His little work van was crushed, and he was too! They had to cut the semi-trailer to extract him out through the trailer. He was life-flighted to Vanderbilt Hospital and is in the Trauma ICU.
He has head trauma, his neck is broken, his face has multiple fractures as well as stitches all over, his right arm and wrist are broken, his right hand is crushed, he broke his left femur, had bleeding on the brain, ruptured his spleen, and much, much more. This young man works so hard, 2 and 3 jobs at a time, and was so excited on Saturday, June 14th, he bought himself a truck! A white Ford F150. He was so proud signing those papers! No co-signer needed; he had built his credit up and did it all on his own. He is a very proud young man who works hard and knows if you want something, you have to work for it!
Landon has a long, hard road ahead of him now. He must first wake up, then recover, before ever even thinking about going back to work. He doesn’t have many bills, and we are hoping to make his truck payment and insurance until he is able to do it again. Anything you can give will go towards Landon’s bills and helping him with whatever he needs.
