School in Le Palmes, Haiti

We see the beauty of Le Palmes and the gorgeous smiles from the children who live there.  Yet we know something is missing.  This small schoolhouse is not sufficient space to accommodate all of the children of this community, so they walk.  They walk miles and hours each day to reach the school in the next village, because their desire to learn is so great.  Their spirit is so strong and they persevere in the pursuit of education.  Now it's time for us to walk on their behalf.  Please support ServeHAITI in raising funds to build a nine-room schoolhouse in the community of Le Palmes.  This we do in honor of Cortlyn Authement, a young man who loved children, who was committed to teaching and learning, whose memory will live on amongst these mountains of Grand Bois - all in the name of education.  Join us in providing these bright minds and eager souls the education they deserve and the time to play as children should.
