My name is Kathryn Holmes.

Jack has been my husband for 44 years now. He went into HCA West for emergency surgery on his foot on October 3rd. Early the next morning, he had a heart attack. He was dead for 8 minutes. The staff at HCA West performed CPR on him and shocked him while administering oxygen. Jack was then admitted to ICU on life support. They inserted 4 stents into his heart while he was intubated and performed further amputation. When they removed life support, he came back to me. He now has fractured ribs and is having a very hard time without oxygen. He is slowly recovering.

He now has had a heart attack, had CPR, been shocked, has fractured ribs, had pneumonia, has 4 stents, and has had 2 surgeries for toe amputations.

Because of an unseen issue with insurance (and now with his job), we are on our own financially during his care. We have new prescriptions, supplies for wound care/amputation, durable medical equipment to purchase, and many follow-up appointments to go to.

We have always been 'Holmes, party of 2'. We still are, but we need help getting him on his feet again.
