On April 4, 2014, David Garriga Sr. was called home by his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. David was raised in the gritty confines of the Marcy Projects in Brooklyn, NY during tumultuous times of the 1960's and '70's. He was able to remove himself and his family from the poverty stricken streets through education, hard work and his faith in God. As a 30 plus year employee of TWA and a disciple of the Pentecostal church, David embodied everything good and pure in an unassuming manner.

What better way in honoring this gentle soul's legacy than through an academic scholarship fund for a deserving high school student (or two) who mirror David's moral values? Please consider donating any amount that would help fund the educational expenses of a student who has worked as hard as David. A gift of this magnitude would go far in recognizing a young rising star(s) intent on pursuing a post-secondary education.
