New (to me) Vehicle

In 2021, I landed in Las Vegas in an RV and soon bought a house - which depleted my savings. I also purchased a 2009 Nissan Cube, my fourth. By all accounts, it was in excellent condition, ran fine, and had no apparent mechanical issues. I bought new tires; that's all she needed. I drove to California a few times without any issues. Towards the end of the year, a problem with the battery surfaced. Then the key fobs weren't communicating with the car. I was locked out once and stranded several times when the car wouldn't start. This was the beginning of my nightmare.

Since then, I've bought a new key fob, a computer module, two new batteries (and two under warranty), and a catalytic converter. I have now spent more on car repairs than I paid for it. The most recent visit to Nissan resulted in three days of diagnostic testing, which concluded with $10,000 in quotes for 'work needed.' I can't put any more money into this car. It's time to let her go and move on.

I could apply for a loan, but due to the bankruptcy I filed while caring for my mother, I doubt I'd qualify. And honestly, I can't afford a loan payment (plus interest) for five or six years. I live a simple minimalist lifestyle on a low income. Recently, I've been getting to and from work via Uber - I may as well be working for free.

I know my timing couldn't be worse... the economy, the holidays, etc., but now is the time of my greatest need, my only need. Anything you can gift will be appreciated beyond measure.

Sincerely,
McKenna
