Reynolds Family Wildfire Relief
Donation protected
On Friday August 18, The Reynolds family lost everything in the Adams Lake wildfire. As members of the Scotch Creek fire department, when fire broke out on the Scotch Creek bridge, they joined the battle to save it for the residents of the North Shuswap to have an escape route. While they were fighting for their community, their two homes burnt to the ground with absolutely nothing left remaining on their land.
Darren, Lena, Nathan, and Savannah have also lost their chickens, turkeys, and many gardens which are a primary source of income for their family. They are self employed in the drywall and cleaning industries, but now have no ability to earn an income for the foreseeable future.
They are currently staying with friends nearby, but will need financial support in the coming weeks while they recover from the most frightening ordeal of their lives. Donated funds will go towards food, dog food, accommodations, gas, etc until they can return to their land and plan next steps. Donations could also be put toward an RV or mobile home for a more permanent living situation.
These folks are hard workers and active community members who have lost everything they’ve worked their entire lives for. Unfortunatley they did not have house insurance and will need to start over from scratch. They need our help!!
Thank you for all your support.
