Help With Vet Bills

My name is Marina Conner and I’m currently directly impacted by the government shutdown. Putting together the money for bills with unemployment and side jobs and work was hard enough before my sweet girl, Rey, starting pooping blood last night. After 7 hours between two vets, Rey needed to be hospitalized for her condition. As of this morning (1/25/19) we still do not know her official condition outside of dehydration. The vet suspected pancreatitis, but still to no avail. The initial bill at the vet was $1019. The second bill at the hospital where she is staying was quoted to me at “at least $1,000, probably closer to $1,300” and I was required to make a 50% down payment of $625. Though CareCredit has been started, this cost added on top of the financial catch up I’ll be playing from the shutdown means that it will be months of ~$300 payments that I just don’t have. All funds donated will go directly to Rey’s medical care. Should funds exceed the amount asked, any additional will be used to set up and pay for insurance for her to help prevent something like this in the future.
