Reyana's Plea: Reunite Her with Indi and Tiny

Hello everyone, my name is Reyana Murray. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY.

Last year, in March 2024, I joined the United States Army to fight and serve our country. I had to leave behind my two Emotional Support Animals, Indi (the Maltipoo) and Tiny (the American Pit Terrier), in the care of my family. As a single soldier, pets are not allowed unless they are service animals. My family reassured me that my pets were going to be well taken care of when I shipped off to basic training. However, as time progressed, my mom had issues with having my pets at home. They weren't being fed on time, getting daily walks, nor proper care, which led to anxiety, depression, and other illnesses.

Last month, in March 2025 (a year after my departure), my little sister had gotten really sick. The hospital ran some tests and confirmed that she has a class 5 level allergy to dogs. My mom informed me of this while I was away and told me that I need to find better living arrangements for my ESA. She only gave me a week to try to figure things out on my own all the way from Texas. I felt very down, overwhelmed, depressed, and exhausted, in addition to what the army needed from me and how concerned my mother was for my sisters health. However, I did as much as I could. I posted on Instagram, Facebook, and everywhere else possible to see if someone would take them in while I tried to find an apartment, but no one was willing to take them in.

Everything started working out until one day I contacted my mom and she told me she had given Indi to a coworker without any communication from me. I've begged and pleaded for her to get Indi back while I’m figuring things out and now have my own apartment. She refuses to tell me the information of the person she gave her to. My dogs are more than just emotional support animals; they’re my family, my babies, they mean the world to me, and I couldn’t live life knowing they're no longer with me. All I’m asking is for you to find it in your heart to help me raise some money to be reunited with Indi and get them shipped to Texas.
