I am a music teacher and researcher dedicated to helping people feel better about their music abilities and connect with the musical parts of themselves that have been masked or erased. It's time for our society to stop defining music ability according to outdated Western standards, and eliminate the gatekeeping around who gets to feel like a "good" musician.
