As the school librarian at DeRenne Middle School, I have the privilege of running our reading program for this school year. Throughout the year, I’ve provided snacks and small incentives to encourage our students to read and log their minutes. It’s been amazing to see their enthusiasm grow as they discover new books and challenge themselves to reach higher goals. With each page turned, our students are building confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.

Now, as we approach the end of the year, I want to finish strong and celebrate our reader leaders in a big way. I’m raising funds to provide significant rewards for our top readers: a laptop for the first place winner, a tablet for second place, and Bluetooth headphones or speakers for third place. These prizes will not only recognize their dedication but also empower them to continue learning and exploring new opportunities. Your support will help us show our students that their hard work matters and that our community believes in their potential.
