Justice for Roger Calloway — $2,500 Reward to Find the Driver
On March 13, 2026, just before 9 p.m., my uncle Roger Calloway was struck by a hit-and-run driver while crossing Hackley Avenue in Muskegon Heights, Michigan. He was 61 years old. The driver kept going. Roger was left in the road with injuries so severe that he never recovered.
On April 18, surrounded by the family who loved him, we made the unbearable decision to remove him from life support.
Roger was not just a “61-year-old neighbor,” the way one news article described him. He was funny, attentive, and kind. He played basketball and loved it. He called his mother — our grandmother, Barbara — on every birthday and every holiday. He helped around the house whenever anyone needed it. He loved his nieces. He was a good man, and our family is shattered without him.
Police have identified the suspect vehicle as a smaller, silver four-door car, based on surveillance footage from the night of the crash. More than five weeks have passed since Roger was struck, and the driver has still not been found.
We refuse to let his death become a footnote.
Why we’re raising $2,500
This fundraiser establishes a $2,500 reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of the driver responsible for Roger’s death. Someone in Muskegon Heights knows something. We believe a reward will give that person a reason to come forward.
How the funds will be used
Every dollar raised will go directly toward the reward, payable to the person whose tip leads to an arrest. If the goal is exceeded, additional funds will go toward Roger’s final expenses and supporting his mother, Barbara Calloway.
