This is a New Chance at Life
Hi, my name is Reverend Rosie
After a decade of serving others, I'm humbly asking for help to reunite with my carergiver and build a new life.
For over ten years, I had the privilege of serving faithfully as a pastor in the Presbyterian Church (USA), offering care, hope, and support to those facing some of life's most difficult challenges. Walking alongside others in their journeys was not just my calling — it was my heart’s work. Today, I find myself needing the same kind of compassion and support I once offered so freely.
I live with PTSD that now severely impacts my ability to live independently. Managing my daily needs without the direct support of a carer has become increasingly difficult, and my health has suffered as a result.
My partner lives in Australia. Being separated by such a great distance has taken an incredible toll on both my physical and emotional well-being. In Australia, I would not only be reunited with my primary support system, but I would also have access to a chance at a stable, healthier future.
This move is about survival, dignity, and a new beginning — but I cannot make it happen on my own.
Relocating internationally is incredibly costly. I am seeking help to cover:
Visa and immigration application fees
Flights for myself and my child
Relocation essentials
I am hoping to raise $15,000 to make this move possible, and stable. Every single donation will go directly toward creating a life where I can live safely, receive proper care, and contribute meaningfully once again.
If you’re able to donate, I would be deeply grateful. If you’re unable to donate, sharing my story is another powerful way you can help. Your kindness, generosity, and prayers are truly life-changing.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for helping me take this step toward healing, hope, and home.
With gratitude and blessings,
Rev. Rose McCurdy-Sakul, MDiv
