Masum has always been that friend.

The one who said, “Let’s go play cricket,” on a random afternoon.

The one who’d suggest a late-night movie just to make you laugh.

The one whose goofy jokes and contagious smile could brighten the darkest day.

Today, that light is dimmed, but not gone. And we need your help to bring it back.

A few days ago, Masum, just 40 years old, suffered a massive heart failure. He was clinically dead for 10 minutes.

Ten minutes.

The thought still doesn’t feel real. But thanks to a miracle by the doctors and prayers from loved ones, he survived.

Now, he’s in recovery. It’s going to be slow, and it's going to be hard. He’s currently unable to work and needs round-the-clock support. He’s stable, but far from the active, full-of-life person we all know and love.

Masum came to the U.S. chasing the American Dream, to build a better life for his family. He’s a loving husband, a dedicated father to two beautiful babies, and someone who never complained even when life pushed him into odd jobs just to keep food on the table.

But now, his family is in crisis. His wife is doing everything she can, but the emotional and financial toll is overwhelming. Two babies. A mountain of medical bills. No income.

We’re trying to raise $20,000 to help cover the next few months of living and recovery expenses, so his family can breathe, so his wife can focus on caring for him and the kids, and so Masum can fight his way back without the fear of financial collapse hanging over him.
