Revive the Kickapoo River

As the flood waters have finally receded from this historic flood, the canoe rental owners have finally had a chance to begin assessing the status of the Kickapoo River.  The damage is very significant and will require a lot of effort to return the Kickapoo to it's normal condition. This will require heavy equipment and many  hours as we begin to remove things that have floated down river. Buildings, LP tanks, fuel tanks, commercial coolers, dumpsters, numerous canoes and other items we have yet to encounter have to be removed as well as trees and landing repair. We want to help the Kickapoo in its healing process so everyone is able to safely enjoy this beautiful treasure. We have no timeline for this process, but we can see it will be daunting. If you feel compelled to help in this cause, any donation would be appreciated. This fund will be spent on river repair and cleanup only. If you are unable, please say a prayer for our community as we work through our rebuilding process. Thank you and we hope you can all enjoy the Kickapoo River again when it has safely recovered.
