Reverend Matthew Grant

Reverend Matthew Wayne Grant was tragically gunned down in the parking lot following a football game at Dudley High School on Friday, September 29, 2023. The family is asking for your prayers and financial support to help manage the expenses associated with this unexpected, untimely, and devastating loss.

Services have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home & Cremations of Greensboro, located at 1024 Homeland Avenue.

A public viewing has been scheduled to take place on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 12 PM - 7PM at the funeral home. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 2PM at New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1105 Willow Road, Greensboro.

Reverend Grant was a humble man who loved God and the community in which he lived. He was a kind person who gave of himself freely, and who never met a stranger. He was always willing to share his love for Christ with others by word and deed. His presence among us will be deeply missed.
