As many of you are aware my beloved mum was diagnosed with aggressive Ovarian Cancer in the middle of last year, she fought it every way possible with major surgery and multiple chemos. Through all of this suffering she did not complain and continued to have the best outlook on life. For the last 3 and a half weeks of her life she was lucky enough to be cared for my the wonderful staff at Loros Hospice, who went above and beyond for her, giving her the best care, arranging a special scan so she could meet my unborn baby and also doing everything in their power to help with her pain/suffering. Without these wonderful people her death would not have been as dignified and we would have been lost without them. It has been in the news recently how much this needed and crucial charity is struggling for funding and having to close vital beds. My mum was one of the lucky ones to have such excellent end of life care and it is devastating that less people will be able to receive this now. She asked before she died that I set up with go fund me to help raise anything possible for this charity in her name, it also gives people who may not be able to make it to the funeral a way to celebrate mum by helping the charity that helped her most.
