Hello, my name is Todd.
I am reaching out on behalf of myself, and two brothers; David and Corey Pearson in regards to my Father Carrol C Pearson. We are still in the process of trying to raise funds to pay for my father's funeral expenses as he sadly and suddenly passed away July 16th, 2022. Left behind are 3 sons and 9 grandchildren who he loved dearly as did they him. My father was a Vietnam Veteran that served his country proudly and fought on the battlefield during that time along with his military brothers. He held himself to a standard of dignity and respect always. He spent the latter part of his life serving the Lord God to his best ability; ministering to those in need and helping whomever he could even when he wasn't in any position to help. He lived by faith. My dad started many small ministries throughout Virginia and North Carolina trying to bring as many people as he could to Christ. He was a true fisherman for Jesus! I moved close to my father before his health turned for the worst and was able to care for him as long as I possibly could before he was admitted to the hospital in 2019. Since then my father was in and out of the hospital and nursing home with numerous medical complications. Throughout it all he still fought to be joyful, be here for his family and spread the good news. He inspired everyone he encountered. He bore the weight of others on his shoulders with such grace and was happy to do so. Truly I can say he understood what it meant to walk in another’s shoes. As grief stricken as I am, I have been tasked with taking care of the final arrangements for my father. I was disheartened to find out his insurance had expired and therefore his end of life expenses are no longer covered. I know that my father gave his last dime to help others in need and in turn, did not think to care for himself. I believe he felt he had more to do here..and therefore more time to do it. He left a tremendous amount of debt behind because of this. My family is in dire need to raise money to properly bury my dad as well as resolve these debt issues. He was a simplistic and humble man. He knew when he did pass on he would be going with God and I truly feel he deserves a proper burial. Not just because he served his country and risked his life on the battlefield; but for all the people he has touched throughout the years. He gave his life to the lord over 43 years ago; the same year that I was born and since then he has helped everyone he possibly could. He lived his life to serve others. I truly believe he deserves a respectable sending off. If you can find it in your heart to help us reach this goal we would be forever grateful. The VA is only covering his plot and burial; and as you may know funerals are extremely expensive. My younger brother has been out of work due to back injury and I haven't been working full time since 2020 when Covid hit this world and actually am just recovering from having Covid myself. We have always been the type of people to reach out and help others. I never thought I would find myself reaching out for help this way but I am thankful for the opportunity. I found myself believing I was prepared to handle this loss..I simply wasn’t ready emotionally and now I have to worry financially. The deadline for the final expense payment is due Thursday July 28th, 2022. I bear the weight for my family in this tribulation but I am trying to stay strong in my faith that God will make a way.. I know this is just what my Father would do. There is NO donation TOO SMALL. If it comes from the heart I know you will be blessed for doing so. Help my family give a true loving Soldier of both our Country and God a beautiful farewell.
If you made it this far, I pray you know how valued you are
Thank you for your time, empathy and compassion.
SINCERELY,
Todd, David and Corey Pearson.
