A lasting tribute to Rev. Kyoki Roberts – founder of Zen Center of Pgh./Deep Spring Temple, zen teacher, mediator, farmer, and friend – is planned for the zen center grounds:
- A memorial tree will be planted in the back field near the stand of birch trees.
- A park-like bench is being purchased as a first step in creating a memorial garden.
Adding to money that has been set aside for this purpose, all funding received will go towards purchasing the bench and preparation of the area for becoming a memorial garden – clearing the area, engaging an arborist to treat the birch trees and maintain their health, etc.
This GoFundMe has been set up to accept your donations towards memorializing Kyoki's life and vision.
Dedication of the bench, tree, and memorial garden is being planned for late summer/early fall at the Zen Center of Pittsburgh.
