Rev. J. Walter Hills, II

This Go Fund Me campaign is in honor of Rev. J. Walter Hills, II the late Pastor of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church who transitioned on April 26, 2023. We are not asking for money to cover his funeral expenses thanks to the generosity of New Hope, Second Nazareth, and Brookland Baptist Churches as well as others. As most people know, Pastor Hills' greatest pride and joy was his two children Jaliyah (19) and Tripp (15). Like most young people his age, he felt that he had time to put things in place to properly prepare for their future when he departed this life. However, with his untimely death, they have not only lost their father but also the financial security he would have given them. His daughter is in her freshmen year of college at Johnson C Smith University and his son is a freshman in high school. Both children will face difficult financial hardships as they try to navigate life without their father. Our goal is to immediately raise at least 20k for each child and 10k for expenses. As a family, we are asking that you give generously keeping in mind that your donation will impact their future. Please make your donation impactful. We recognize some people will be able to give substantially while other gifts will be smaller. Whatever you give, we ask that you please please give them your best gift. If you are influential in your church, business, or organization, please ask them to give as well especially if they are a part of the body of Christ. Please keep in mind that you can donate to the children's fundraiser more than one time. Come back and give as often or as much as you like whenever they cross your mind. Your donation will assist with additional expenses that incur after the funeral.

Pastor Hills dedicated his life to ministry to the body of Christ. For the past 25 years, he has prayed for, counseled, and preached the gospel to thousands. The word says, "A workman is worthy of his hire..." He has truly worked in the vineyard of life, please allow his children to reap the fruit of his labor he has bestowed on you and others.
