Reunite Snip’s Family Band At Windwalker Ridge
Tax deductible
Our mission is to provide sanctuary for displaced mustangs who have been rounded up and removed from their home ranges with the focus of reuniting family bands and bonded pairs.
We initially set out to adopt stallion Snip and his family and reunite them in our rewilding sanctuary setting where they would be able to live out their lives together. We were successful in adopting two of his mares including Honeyspice and Marina that were available for adoption back in March. We intend to move forward with what we set out to do and reunite this deserving family.
While there are common patterns to wild behaviors we must remember these horses are no longer in the wild and we we must not assume their behavioral patterns as such. Now they are in an unfamiliar environment and looking for a sense of safety. We have seen on multiple occasions that horses that are adopted with members of their family band find comfort in each other and adapt easier to their new world.
Family is everything to these horses. Surely we can piece this family back together after everything they have ever known has been stripped away from them. Can you help us? We will continue to work to restore and reunite this family and help those in need.
At the time of the roundup this family included Snip, Amber, Sand Shadow, Ruby, Believe, Unity, Toma, Sheridan, Tuesday, Coco. While we cannot guarantee the adoption of any one of these horses in particular due to the bidding process, we will do what we can to reunite this family and help additional mustangs in need. They all deserve a soft landing!
Donations received will be used for the adoption and transport fees for the the mustangs. We thank you in advance for your generosity because without you this wouldn’t be possible! Every donation big or small makes a difference and will have an impact! We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Donations made to our organization are tax deductible.
