Reunite Mimi the cat with Jojo
Donation protected
Hello, I am sorry to be asking for help. I'm a trans woman who left the United States for a number of reasons to do with safety and hope for a better future life in Japan. I took Mimi to a vet 6 months before leaving the country and did what I had to do for vaccines, before having to travel to Korea for a surgery (which went well!) while my Japan visa processed. Unfortunately, the vet work that was done in the US was not done perfectly, as the US vets didn't know exactly what was required to import a cat to Japan.
I ended up having to start the process over and leave my cat with a vet in Korea that has done the procedures correctly, but now there's a huge bill for keeping the cat at the vet for these 6 months. I should be able to import Mimi to Japan on March 20, so long as the vet receives payment this month, at which time they will begin the paperwork that takes about 3 weeks to process. I have tried selling everything I owned back in the US to come up with the money but haven't been able to get much towards this bill.
Mimi means everything to me and is my baby. There is not much time left, and I thought by now I would have made money by selling off my musical instruments and everything else I own, but it didn't work out that way. Please help me to keep my cat. I have had her for 8 years, and I took her in off the street way back in 2014. She showed up on my doorstep one day meowing for food, and I have taken her in and loved her as if she were my child ever since. I can't bear to lose Mimi. Please donate and share if you cannot.
