Hello! My name is Michael and along with my adult son Jeremy. After we lost our jobs and started living out of our car, we've been optimistically trying to earn money via delivery apps, like Uber Eats and DoorDash. If this shows up locally, you might even recognize us!

However, our car has broken down again, likely due to the recent rain and flooding, and at a time when orders have been far too low for us to save for such an occasion. We've concluded it would take far more to fix than to try to get bus or plane tickets to our nearest family, in Oklahoma. Unfortunately, they're also limited in what support they can provide except an open door and spare sofa.

Our goal is to raise that money and try to get home for the holidays as it's clear our car, even with some temporary repair, wouldn't be able to make the journey, as well as get some food and water along the way. Maybe even some to relieve their burden when we get there.

We know this holiday season more than most has hit everyone pretty hard, and we're certainly not the ones that need the most help after the floods, but we have to hope we can raise enough and not strain the already overburdened homelessness resources here.
