Help Nash (Magwibo) cover living costs during Cancer Battle

Donation protected
My uncle, Nash ( also known as Magwibo),has recently been diagnosed with advanced bowel cancer, which has spread to his liver, lung lining, and stomach. This devastating diagnosis means he is unable to work and faces a long, challenging journey of treatment with strong chemotherapy.

Nash began experiencing a persistent cough two months ago. After trying home remedies with no improvement, he visited the doctor, where an X-ray revealed fluid in his lung cavity; a condition called pleural effusion. This occurs when fluid builds up around the lungs, often signaling a serious underlying condition. Doctors urged him to go to A&E immediately. He was admitted on 18th December, his birthday and has remained in the hospital since.

After extensive tests, the diagnosis was devastating: advanced bowel cancer that has spread to four areas, including his liver, lung lining, and stomach. Surgery is not an option due to his age and the extent of the cancer. His only hope lies in strong chemotherapy to manage the disease and shrink the tumors.

Nash’s Story

Nash came to the UK from Zimbabwe in late 2023 under a Certificate of Sponsorship (COS), full of hope for a brighter future for himself and his family. He worked tirelessly in Derby, living in work accommodation and saving up to bring his wife and children to the UK.

However, tragedy struck in April when his father passed away from prostate cancer. While arranging his father’s funeral in Zimbabwe, Nash’s mother also passed away just two days later from throat cancer. Losing both parents within days of each other was an unimaginable blow, both emotionally and financially. All the savings he had worked so hard to build were spent on urgent flights and funeral arrangements.

When Nash returned to the UK, he began working to rebuild his savings, but the emotional and financial toll left him struggling to make progress. Now, with his cancer diagnosis, he is unable to work, and his situation has become even more dire.

How You Can Help

Nash is in urgent need of financial support as he battles advanced bowel cancer. With his health preventing him from working, and his wife soon to join him in the UK to provide care and support, the family faces significant financial strain.

We are asking for your support to raise funds for:
1) Accommodation costs: To provide a permanent resting place for Nash and his wife when she arrives.
2) Living expenses: Groceries, rent, bills, and other day-to-day costs, as neither of them will be able to work during this time.

Nash has endured unimaginable loss and hardship, and now he faces the fight of his life. Having his wife by his side will provide him with the emotional and physical support he desperately needs.

Your generosity will help ensure that Nash has the stability and support he needs to fight this battle without the overwhelming burden of financial stress. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a meaningful difference.

If you cannot donate, please consider sharing this campaign with others who may be able to help.

Thank you for your generosity, compassion, and support. Together, we can make a difference in Nash’s life. Thank you for standing with us.
