Reunite Jillyzah’s family after kidney transplant

Donation protected
Hi, my name is LeAnn Tromp, and I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read this story.   My sister Jillyzah was diagnosed with ‘Lupus’ in 2009, which afterwards progressed to ‘Lupus Nephritis’. Lupus is an autoimmune disease; a disorder in which the body's immune system attacks the body's own cells and organs. About 2 years ago doctors told her that she would need a kidney transplant. So, in January 2022 she started with dialysis to maintain her health in the meantime. Our wonderful and amazing mother, Nena, was the first one to step in and offer her own kidney. Thankfully, they were a match for the kindey transplant.  After waiting for a year for the approval of the transplant surgery, finally on June 12 2023 they got the call that the surgery would take place on June 27 2023. That means that within the time period of 1 and a half week a lot had to get arranged for my sister, my mom, my dad and aunt to fly out to the Netherlands (from Aruba). Last week, Tuesday June 27th, the kidney transplant surgery took place and thankfully it was a very successful one thanks to the amazing surgeons and staff at UMC Amsterdam! Our mom is currently recovering and has started her healing process back at our apartment, and Jillyzah is still recovering at the hospital.  This is the part where we want to reach out to you. Jillyzah is an incredible and hardworking mom to her kids, all under 8. Together with her wonderful partner and father of her children, Xavier, they form their (not so) little family. The girls are currently staying with me and my other sister in the Netherlands, we regularly take them to the hospital to visit their mom, Jillyzah. They constantly ask when they can see their dad and brothers as well. Obviously, the boys also miss their mom and sisters incredibly and they really yearn to see them again. We FaceTime everyday but this has been very hard on their entire family, especially given the fact that they will be apart for 3 more months. Aside from being a mom, Jillyzah also works a full time job. Aruba’s health care insurance (SVb) does not cover her salary for the 3 months that she is in the Netherlands. Therefore, the goal of this GoFundMe is to reunite the entire family in the Netherlands! Jillyzah still has quite a long road of recovery and really misses the rest of her family. We think that having her whole family together again will be one less thing that she has to worry about and will help her recover (mentally) as well With the money that is raised we will be able to buy the three plane tickets (for her partner Xav, and 2 sons) to join them in the Netherlands and also pay for accommodation. Finally, the family will then be reunited again!  Any amount of money you’re willing to contribute is so greatly appreciated. If you could share this with your friends and family would also mean the world to us as well.  Thank you so very much! This will mean the world to us
