Success! Debra & Bella now HAVE a home!

  We are at our goal!   What is needed now is an affordable (max $900.00 mo.) apartment that will accept a German Shepard mix. 
It has been very difficult, mainly because some breeds are stigmatized. Bella is 10 years old and very sweet. 
If you know of an apartment in any area around Brookfield to Hinsdale, please let us know,

The total needed is closer to 3,500.00. 
Debra and her fur baby Bella have been together for nine years. All that time they had a simple and happy life in the same apartment. That changed three months ago when they were told they'd have to move. Their building had been sold and the new owners wanted all the old tenants to move out.

Debra worked triple shifts while looking for a pet friendly apartment. There was no place in her price range and time ran out. Debra had to put her things in storage. She had to place Bella in a shelter because no temporary place would allow dogs.

Soon, in seven days, Bella will be put up for adoption unless Debra can find a home for both of them.

Debra and Bella are heartbroken to be apart. Debra has been Bellas person all her life and Bella is very confused as to why she's now in a shelter.

We want to help them get a place together ASAP. These funds will help with deposits, pet fees, storage fees and getting them moved in to a new home. Three of us, complete strangers, saw Debra's post asking for help to find a new home. When we saw she had to give up Bella, we knew we had to help. Their lives were disrupted due to no fault of their own. They should have a chance to be happy together, We hope you'll help Debra and Bella too.
