Support Isaiah’s Fight Against Crohn’s Complications

We are having to make this GoFundMe because Isaiah is in the hospital again for his Crohn’s. He is currently in the hospital for a large abscess near his intestines. The past couple months have been very hard for Isaiah. He has barely been able to work due to being in constant pain and multiple appointments. He is mentally and physically exhausted and hasn’t been able to eat or sleep that much. This has taken toll on all of us please pray for him and our family. We appreciate any help we can get right now for our bills, groceries, and any medical expenses.

A little back story, he originally went to the hospital in the beginning of September for an abscess and bad inflammation. He was there for two weeks to try and get inflammation down and drain the abscess. The drain was unsuccessful so he was sent home with a PICC line and had to do IV antibiotics to try and get rid of the abscess. A week later he got sent back to the hospital because he wasn’t able to eat without being in pain and ended up losing over 60 pounds in less than two months. He was there for another week to get IV nutrients and put on IV steroids to help get the inflammation down. A week later he went back to hospital for pain. Since he hasn’t been on a biologic medication it’s hard for his body to control the inflammation with just steroids. He was there for another week to control the inflammation and was told the abscess was too small to drain which meant it was shrinking. A month later (last Wednesday) he had a checkup scan after finishing 6 weeks of steroids and IV antibiotics. The abscess ended up growing to 6 cm which is on the large side and was told to be admitted immediately with concern that it might burst. The problem is since the inflammation is so bad they can’t reach the abscess and aren’t able to drain it. For now they have him on three different IV antibiotics to help with the abscess. Sometime next week he will get another scan to see if the antibiotics are working properly and shrinking the abscess. If the antibiotics are working he be sent home with another PICC line and IV antibiotics. If the antibiotics don’t work we’re not sure what the next step would be. When the abscess is finally gone though he will then get surgery to remove the part of his intestines that is bad.
