Myself along with 5 other Optometry students have the amazing opportunity to travel to and volunteer in Moldova for 9 days and provide free eye care to over 1,500 people, those who would not have this opportunity otherwise!
We are very fortunate here and many of us take our vision for granted, due to easy access to glasses and healthcare. Moldova, being the poorest country in Europe doesn’t have this same liberty. Most people have never had an eye test, let alone are able to afford glasses. Something as simple as bettering someone’s vision can have a massive impact on their quality of life.
This trip will be an amazing yet challenging experience for all of us. We would appreciate any donation, big or small, to make this trip possible. Thank you!
