Returning to My Roots: A Missions Journey to Ecuador

Hello friends and family,

I’m excited to share that I have the incredible opportunity to participate in a missions trip to Ecuador this September! Ecuador holds a special place in my heart because my parents are from Ecuador. A missions trip has always been on my bucket list and I'm happy to have the opportunity to give back to the country where my parents are from. This trip will allow me to serve and make a positive impact in communities through various projects, including outreach, giving others a safe haven, community service, and building relationships with local families.

Why Ecuador?

Ecuador is a beautiful country, but many communities are facing significant challenges, criminal organizations pose the danger of escalating violence by local gangs and international competition for control over drug trafficking routes, including poverty, lack of access to education, and healthcare. During this trip, I’ll be working alongside a team to provide support and resources to help meet the needs of the people there. It will be a dangerous, but an impactful mission's trip. It’s an incredible opportunity to not only give back, but also to grow in my faith and learn from the experiences of others.

Why Compassion International?

Anyone that knows me knows that I'm a giver and loves to help others. Not only have I worked for and given to different nonprofits, I've also volunteered for many others. Compassion international has always hold a special place in my heart because they're a Christian humanitarian organization that focuses on releasing children from poverty through child sponsorship programs. Their work is driven by a holistic approach to child development, addressing not only material needs but also spiritual, emotional, and social well-being. I've had the amazing opportunity to have been sponsoring Maritza from Mexico since June 2013 at the very young age of 4 yrs old. I've had the joy of writing letters, celebrating Birthdays, Big Accomplishments, and Holidays with Maritza. Maritza is now 15 yrs old and the program has help her develop into a God loving, smart, caring individual towards her family and others.

I’m reaching out for your support as I prepare for this journey. The cost of the trip includes travel expenses, accommodations, food, supplies, and project funding. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a big difference in making this trip possible.

¡Ayúdame ir en un Viaje Misionero a Ecuador con Compassion International!

Hola amigos y familia,

¡Estoy emocionado a de compartir que tengo la increíble oportunidad de participar en un viaje misionero a Ecuador este septiembre! Ecuador tiene un lugar especial en mi corazón porque mis padres son de Ecuador. Siempre he soñado con realizar un viaje misionero, y estoy feliz de tener la oportunidad de retribuir al país de donde son mis padres. Este viaje me permitirá servir y tener un impacto positivo en las comunidades a través de varios proyectos, incluyendo alcance comunitario, brindar un refugio seguro, servicio comunitario y construir relaciones con familias locales.

¿Por qué Ecuador?

Ecuador es un país hermoso, pero muchas comunidades enfrentan desafíos significativos. Las organizaciones criminales representan el peligro de aumentar la violencia debido a las pandillas locales y la competencia internacional por el control de las rutas de tráfico de drogas, además de problemas como la pobreza, la falta de acceso a la educación y la atención médica. Durante este viaje, trabajaré junto a un equipo para brindar apoyo y recursos que ayuden a satisfacer las necesidades de las personas allí. Será un viaje misionero peligroso, pero impactante. Es una oportunidad increíble no solo para retribuir, sino también para crecer en mi fe y aprender de las experiencias de los demás.

¿Por qué Compassion International?

Cualquiera que me conozca sabe que soy una persona generosa y que me encanta ayudar a los demás. No solo he trabajado y contribuido con diferentes organizaciones sin fines de lucro, sino que también he sido voluntario en muchas otras. Compassion International siempre ha ocupado un lugar especial en mi corazón porque es una organización humanitaria cristiana que se enfoca en liberar a los niños de la pobreza a través de programas de patrocinio infantil. Su trabajo se basa en un enfoque integral del desarrollo infantil, abordando no solo las necesidades materiales, sino también las espirituales, emocionales y sociales.

He tenido la increíble oportunidad de patrocinar a Maritza de México desde junio de 2013, cuando tenía apenas 4 años. He disfrutado la alegría de escribirle cartas, celebrar cumpleaños, grandes logros y fiestas con Maritza. Ahora, Maritza tiene 15 años, y el programa la ha ayudado a convertirse en una persona amante de Dios, inteligente y cariñosa con su familia y los demás.

Cómo Puedes Ayudar:

Estoy buscando su apoyo mientras me preparo para este viaje. El costo del viaje incluye gastos de viaje, alojamiento, comida, suministros y financiamiento para los proyectos. Cada donación, por pequeña que sea, marcará una gran diferencia para hacer posible este viaje.
