Returning the love to Moe

Family & friends,
This past friday, June 3rd, a tragedy and devastating loss struck our lives in an unimaginable way — our dear friend Moneer, or Moe as many of you knew him as, passed away suddenly in his home surrounded by his wife and children.
Moe was the type of friend that would show up and support you during your darkest hours, brightest days, and everywhere in between. A hard worker, the biggest goofball and always the life of the party, his family and friends can tell a number of incredible stories that include joy and laughter. He loved getting his friends and family together for BBQs, game nights, fight nights, and birthday parties. He was the glue that kept us all together.
He was a loving husband and father to his four beautiful children as well as an adoring husband to his wife. After having three lovely daughters, he was over the moon when he found out he was finally having a son. He was a dedicated hardworking man and spent the last 18 years working at Gazzali’s Supermarket in Oakland. It’s here that we all became a tight-knit family.
He lived his entire 37 years of life as an East Bay native, graduating from San Leandro High School and continued a lifelong career in the Oakland community. He was an innovator always trying to think of ways to support the East Bay community and provide for his loved ones. He started his own commercial ice delivery business where he served the greater part of the East Bay. He was living the American Dream.
Moe has helped so many people and now I ask his fellow friends and community to honor him in returning the love. We need to help support his wife and their four young children during this unfathomable time of grief and pain. It’s our desire to help Moe’s family keep the home they built and the house they purchased together just last July, so that they have a place to grow and thrive with him in their hearts. His wife, being new to this country speaks very little English so she is unable to work. We greatly appreciate anything you can give to help support this cause and Moe’s legacy.
Hamzzah Saleh (Moe’s nephew) will be withdrawing the funds in conjunction with Moe’s wife Muna. We thank you all for your contributions.
