Return to the River

Return to the River is a collaborative experimental film project started in Cork, Ireland at the begging of the pandemic, may 2020. This collaboration “Paper Lily production” is formed by the artists Senan O Connor, Artem Trofimenko, and Sophia Santabarbara.

The film is a dream like surrealist journey in an oneiric land. It is a three act intertwined narrative of a failed miracle, a drunken sailor and a bear.

The last 3 years were dedicated to filming in abandoned and unused liminal spaces around Ireland.

The project was filmed entirely without funding , but as we enter post production we’re asking for support to help complete the film.
